Our Association

At the service of the Chaldean Catholic community in Switzerland.

The Chaldean Pastoral Association in Switzerland is a non-profit association, politically neutral and independent. It gathers the means for the community's pastoral life, in communion with the Swiss bishops and within Migratio.

Three aims, written into the statutes

To achieve them, the association holds religious celebrations, intercultural gatherings and times of sharing throughout the year.

The association pursues no profit. It is politically neutral and independent.

  1. Provide the means required for the pastoral activities of the Chaldean community in Switzerland.

  2. Promote Chaldean culture in Switzerland.

  3. Foster the ties between the Chaldean community in Switzerland and those abroad.

    Mass and the sacraments, in the Chaldean rite.

    Families, children, young people and elders.

  • Hand on

    The faith and its values to new generations.

  • Promote

    Chaldean culture and traditions.

    Fraternity, solidarity and communion among all.

Art. 4Our organisation

Three bodies, one mission

The association is built like any Swiss association: an assembly that decides, a committee that acts, a body that audits. Every member has a voice.

  1. The supreme authority

    The General Assembly

    It brings together all members at least once a year. It adopts the accounts and the budget, elects the Committee and the Auditors, sets the membership fee and amends the statutes.

  2. The executive body

    The Committee

    Three to nine people elected for three years. It runs the association's affairs, administers its assets and represents it.

  3. Auditing the accounts

    The Auditors

    Elected each year by the General Assembly, they verify the financial management and report to the members.

Art. 7 and 8Join us

Who may become a member

Any adult interested in the association's aims may become a member. The priest responsible for the Chaldean community in Switzerland sits on the Committee by right.

The annual membership fee is set each year by the General Assembly.
